[fre] La conférence de Stresa en 1958 entre les six premiers Etats-membres de la Communauté européenne fut la première étape dans la formulation de la politique agricole commune. Ses conclusions contenaient des principes valables qui par la suite furent perdus de vue. En 1992, une réforme en profondeur de la PAC a dû être entreprise. Celle-ci, malgré des aspects positifs, augmente le coût total de la PAC, aggrave sa complexité administrative et risque d'encourager la tentation de "renationaliser". Et pour respecter la réduction des exportations requise par l'Uruguay Round, des contraintes supplémentaires seront probablement nécessaires... [eng] The spirit of Stresa . The Stresa Conference of 1958, between the first six Member States of the European Community, was the first step in formulating the common agricultural policy. Its conclusions contained valid principles, which were subsequently forgotten. In 1992, a fundamental reform of the CAP became necessary. This has its positive aspects, but it raises the total cost of the CAP, worsens its administrative complexity and risks encouraging the temptation for "renationalisation". And to conform with the cuts in exports required by the Uruguay Round, further constraints are likely to be needed...
