Abstract: [eng] The elections for the "chambres d'agriculture" in 1983. Farmers and rural dwellers'political representation . In 1983, the elections for the "Chambres d'agriculture" took place according to a new way of casting the votes and new constituencies. They ended in a significant representation of small trade-unions, without unhorsing the Fnsea's majority. For these elections, the number of voters has been geater than ever. [fre] Les élections aux Chambres d'agriculture de 1983 se sont déroulées selon un nouveau mode de scrutin et un nouveau découpage territorial. Elles ont permis une certaine représentation des syndicats minoritaires sans enlever la majorité absolue à la Fnsea qui, néanmoins, ne pouvait plus prétendre au monopole de cette représentation. Pour ces élections, la participation a constitué un record jamais atteint auparavant ni depuis.
