Abstract: [eng] European agricultural policies emphasise the need to take into account the multifonctionality of agriculture, and reflect objectives concerning employment and the preservation of the economic and social texture in rural areas. These new policies grant new importance to farms which are part of complex systems of activities (pluriactivity, etc.). A comparison of regulations governing conditions of eligibility for four types of direct paiements in five countries (Germany, Spain, France, Greece and the uk) reveals a real change of the standards of occupational practice taken into account in the economic aid for agriculture. Yet, this trend is ambiguous and can also be interpreted as a step towards deregulation of the labour market. This could result in an increasing number of precarious jobs. [fre] Les politiques agricoles européennes soulignent la nécessité de tenir compte de la multifonctionnalité et affichent des objectifs concernant l'emploi et le maintien d'un tissu économique et social dans les zones rurales. Logiquement ce changement confère une importance nouvelle aux exploitations s'inscrivant dans des systèmes d'activités complexes (pluriactivité, etc.). La comparaison des conditions réglementaires d'éligibilité pour quatre paiements directs dans cinq pays (Allemagne, Espagne, France, Grèce, Royaume-Uni) montre une réelle évolution des normes d'exercice professionnel prises en compte dans l'organisation du soutien économique de l'agriculture. Cependant, cette évolution est ambiguë et peut aussi être interprétée comme un pas vers une dérégulation du marché du travail pouvant engendrer des statuts précaires.
