Abstract:
[fre] La prévision de la croissance urbaine française, 1970-2000. . Après avoir brièvement évoqué les principaux caractères de la croissance urbaine française depuis 1946, l'article confronte différentes méthodes, directes et indirectes, de prévision de la croissance des villes dans leurs composantes démographique, spatiale et migratoire. Enfin, il est fait application des chaînes finies de Markov pour déterminer le nombre, l'effectif et l'évolution des villes françaises de plus de 100000 habitants jusqu'en l'an 2000. [eng] Forecasting french urban growth 1970-2000 . . After a short description of the main characteristics of french urban growth since 1946, the article compares several methods, direct and indirect, of forecasting urban growth in its demographic, spatial and migration components. Finally, the method of Markov finite chains is applied to forecast the number the population and the evaluation of french towns of more than 100 000 inhabitants until 2000.
