Michelle Riboud

Revue Économique, 1975, vol. 26, issue 2, 220-244

[eng] A study of human capital accumulation in France. . The aim of this study is to test a Human Capital model with French data (survey conducted in 1964 par the French National Instituée of Statistics. The sample used consists of 8 809 men aged between 15 and 67).. Emphasis is put on two types of human capital investments : schooling and post-school investments (job investments). This study provides a measure of their rates of return and of their impact on the distribution of earnings. Additional variables (distinction between private and public sector, region and social back-ground) are introduced in to model and their economie role analysed.
