Quelques évidences sur l'évolution du système de santé

Abstract: [fre] La mise en évidence des tendances qui caractérisent l'évolution économique du système de santé, sur deux décennies par exemple, présente un double intérêt : dans la perspective comparative internationale d'une part, et pour la compréhension des problèmes d'actualité d'autre part. Quatre points seulement sont abordés sous cet angle : l'extension de l'assurance maladie, son efficacité dans la réduction des obstacles économiques à l'accès aux soins, les revenus des professionnels de santé, et les structures hospitalières. Il est probable que les tendances observées sous ces quatre aspects sont interdépendantes, et que les liaisons qu'elles entretiennent expliquent certains traits de la croissance des dépenses de santé : sa rapidité, le maintien d'inégalités importantes et le développement des initiatives à but lucratif, par exemple. The bringing to light of the tendencies which characterize the economical evolution of the health System over two decades, for instance, shows a double interest : in te prospect of international comparison on one hand, and for the comprehension of topical problems on the other. Four points only are approached under this aspect : the extension of sickness insurance, its efficiency in the reduction of eco­nomical hindrances to the admittance to the cure, the income of health professionals, and hospital structures. The tendencies observed under these four aspects are likely to be interdependent, and the relations they develop probably explain some features of the growth of health expenses : its rapidity, the maintenance of important disparities, and the development of money-making undertakings, for instance.
