Abstract: [fre] Acquisition d'information, innovations et irréversibilités. . Cet article étudie des stratégies de protection des lacs américains menacés par les pluies acides. L'Agence de protection de l'environnement, responsable du programme de protection, est confrontée à des incertitudes portant sur l'état des lacs et les modalités (date, ampleur) d'une innovation technologique en matière de dépollution, et à des irréversibilités affectant le choix technologique et l'état des lacs (eutrophisation).. Nous résolvons le programme de l'EPA comme un problème de choix de technique avec acquisition de caractéristiques par apprentissage. Les principales difficultés viennent de non-convexités dues au type de coûts d'information et de la représentation du processus de décision, forward ou backward looking. [eng] Purchase of information, innovation and irreversibiuties . . The article examines strategies in order to protect North American lakes from acid deposition. The EPA, in charge of this program, is facing uncertainties conceming the state of the lakes and the characteristics (date, scale) of technological innovation for pollution abatement, and irreversibilities affecting the choice of technology and the state of the lakes (eutrophication). We solves the EPA's program in the framework of a problem of technological choice with learning of characteristics. The main difficultes stem from non convexities associated with specifie information costs, and the description of the decision process, either forward or backward looking.
