Abstract: [fre] L'économie française à l'horizon 1997. Coopération ou repli sur soi ?. . Quels risques majeurs et quelles opportunités pour l'économie française à l'horizon 1997 ? Cet article présente quelques considérations tirées du groupe « Perspectives Économiques » de préparation du XIe Plan. L'insuffisance de l'épargne mondiale ainsi que l'apprentissage des mécanismes issus de la déréglementation maintiendraient à des niveaux encore élevés les taux d'intérêt réels dans le monde. À l'opposé, la réalisation d'une Union monétaire en Europe, bien qu'elle exige des efforts de convergence nominale à court terme, peut permettre d'accoître le potentiel de croissance à moyen terme. La situation de l'économie française s'est améliorée au sein des économies européennes. La chute de l'investissement des entreprises est cependant inquiétante. Des scénarios élaborés par trois équipes d'économistes présentent des diagnostics convergents d'un risque de chômage élevé sur la période. La croissance ne serait pas la panacée à ce problème. C'est pourquoi des réformes structurelles impliquant plus de coopération dans la société doivent donc être engagées sur la période. [eng] Scanning rench medium term economy. . What major risks and what opportunities for French Economy until 1997 ? This article puts forward some considerations drawn from the group « Economie Outlooks » for the preparation of the XIth Plan. The insufficiency of World saving and the leaming of the mecanisms born of dereglementation would keep real interest rates at still high level in the world. On the opposite, the achievment of a Monetary Union in Europe, despite it requires efforts for nominal convergence in the short term can increase the medium term growth potential. The French Economy health increased among European economies. Still, the fall of business investment is worrying. Scenarii, made by three teams of eco-nomists give a convergent diagnosis on a risk of high unemployement in the years to come. Growth would not be the panacea for this problem. This is why structural reforms implying more cooperation in society should be undertaken in that period.
