Abstract: [eng] From a cost geography to an organization geography : recent developments on the firm/territory interaction. . This paper addresses the question of the spatial behaviour of firms with focus on the dynamic processes of organization : the geographical choices are analyzed in terms of the creation of new resources and not only of the allocation of given resources, as well as in terms of decisions between short term efficiency and long term efficiency. The decreasing impact of localizes in-put costs and the increasing impact of the organization performance on the competitiveness are underlined, and considered in relation to the investment transfer to high cost areas. Relationships are finally sketched between the geographical options and the main trends of the firm organization : new centralization/ decentralization balances ; concern for flexibility and reversibility of the options. La logique spatiale des firmes est abordée, dans cet article, en menant l'accent sur les processus dynamiques d'organisation : les choix territoriaux sont considérés sous l'angle des mécanismes de création et pas seulement d'allocation des ressources ; ainsi que des arbitrages entre efficacité de court terme et efficacité de long terme. Le rôle décroissant du coût des input localisés et le rôle croissant de la « qualité d'organisation » dans la compétitivité sont soulignés et reliés à l'orientation des investissements vers les zones à coûts élevés. Des relations sont enfin esquissées entre les options territoriales et les grandes tendances d'organisation des firmes : nouveaux équilibres centralisation/décentralisation, recherche de flexibilité et de réversibilité des options.
