Intégration ou désintégration économique dans l'ex-URSS

Abstract: [eng] Economic integration or disintegration in the former Soviet Union.. . The paper describes the evolution of the monetary system and the trade agreements and policies of the New Independent States since the fall of the Soviet Union. It questions the economic causes of the process of disintegration by reference to the theory of commercial and monetary zones. It concludes that there are no economic grounds for the mainte­nance of an economie and monetary union in the FSU region.. Nous decrivons l'evolution du systeme monetaire et des accords et politiques commerciales dans les Etats de l'ex-URSS. Nous examinons les causes economiques du proces- sus de désintégration constaté en nous référant aux théories des zones commerciales et monétaires. Il apparaît finalement qu'il n'y a pas de motif économique qui conduise à maintenir une union économique et monétaire dans la région de l'ex-URSS.
