Abstract: [fre] L'impact à long terme des chocs de demande. . [eng] The long-term effect of demand disturbances. . According to an endogenous growth approach, demand shocks may involve a persistent effect in the long run, either positive, either negative. We summarize this debate and discuss the design of a proper empirical methodology to cope with it. A new identification criteria for demand shocks is proposed and used to assess the long run effect of demand shocks in six main OECD economies.
