Abstract:
[eng] Nash versus Von Neumann and Morgenstern : continuity or rift in recent game theory history. This paper considers the relationship between, on the one hand, Theory of Games and Economic Behaviour (TGEB) published in 1994, and, on the other hand, Nash's works which were issued around the fifties and originated the non cooperative games. This comparison demonstrates that Nash's contribution is neither complementary to TGEB nor a counter-example. However, their content cannot be understood without referring to von Neumann and Morgenstern's seminal book.
