Réflexions sur quelques caractéristiques de la production en sciences économiques

Abstract: [eng] The organisation of the making of economics cannot be held for a natural fact. Among other implications, it means that, contrary to our spontaneous perception, the optimal nature of the existing scientific micro-production does not necessarily result from its only productivity in terms of knowledge. Indeed, as is the case in all productive system, the interests of producers may interfere with the technological choice, i.e. contribute to model dominant modes of production. Clues of the exis­tence and of the importance of such an arbitrage are traced in some paradoxal characteristics of legitimate professional practices. The holistitic theory ofscientifi-city allows to integrate these characteristics in an analysis which confers them a coherence. Entre autres implications, cela signifie que, contrairement à notre perception spontanée, l'optimalité de l'artisanat scientifique ne ressort pas nécessairement de sa seule productivité en termes de connaissances. En effet, comme dans tout système productif, les intérêts des producteurs peuvent interve­nir dans les choix technologiques, c'est-à-dire contribuer à façonner les modes dominants de production. Des indices de tels arbitrages sont recherchés dans cer­taines caractéristiques paradoxales des usages professionnels légitimes. La théo­rie holistique de la scientificité permet de les intégrer dans une analyse leur donnant une cohérence.
