Abstract: [fre] Le « rattrapage » rapide de la productivité argentine au début du siècle est remis en cause dans les années trente, mais surtout à partir des années cin­quante. Les excès de la substitution aux importations au lendemain de la seconde guerre mondiale participent au ralentissement de la productivité argentine. Ce ralentissement s'explique également par l'allongement du délai de diffusion de la technologie étrangère, auquel la fermeture commerciale et l'affaiblissement des investissements étrangers contribuent sûrement. Enfin, alors que la politique édu­cative reste longtemps exemplaire, la dégradation de celle-ci à partir des années soixante devient un facteur explicatif supplémentaire du ralentissement de la pro­ductivité argentine. [eng] The fast "catching up" of Argentina's productivity at the beginning of the cen­tury decreases in the 30s, but especially since the 50s. Import substitution policy after the Second World War explains the slow down of productivity. At the same time the delay in catching international technology, partly due to the inward orien­tation of the trade regime and to the weakness of foreign investment, has also contributed to the productivity slow down. Finally, while education policy was exemplary for a long time, its deterioration since the 60s constitutes an additional factor of productivity slow down.
