Quelques réflexions sur la croissance optimale

Revue Économique, 1999, vol. 50, issue 4, 715-732

Abstract: [eng] Optimal growth revisited. . We study the difficulties pertaining to the definition of an intertemporal social objective. A brief description of Ramsey's and Koopmans' contributions is followed by a distinction between the finite horizon case, in which the absence of discounting is easily defended, and the infinite horizon case, which exhibits a seemingly fundamental incompatibility between impartiality and the Pareto principle. Some suggestions for further research are made. [fre] Quelques réflexions sur la croissance optimale. .
