Abstract: [fre] Conséquences anticipées et comportements face au risque dans la pensée économique. . Cet article concerne la théorie de l'entrepreneur de Jeremy Bentham [1748-1832] et place l'accent sur les motifs qui le poussent à innover. On montre que l'innovateur, appelé faiseur de projets à l'époque, peut être appréhendé à travers le prisme de la théorie de l'utilité espérée. Cependant, il ne saurait incarner un agent économique témoignant d'une propension au risque. Alors même qu'on se situe dans un contexte général d'aversion face au risque, l'incitation à la mise en œuvre d'une innovation provient pour Bentham, non seulement du plaisir associé aux éventualités de profit, mais, également, du plaisir propre de la réalisation du projet. In this article, we study the motives which drive an entrepreneur to innovate according to jeremy bentham [1748-1832]. We show that the innovator, called at this time the projector, can be considered through the prism of the theory of expected utility, but not as a risk-lover: it is not the game and the risk that is attached to the innovation which attracts the projector, but, besides the pleasure associated to the profit, we shall note the importance of the pleasure to realize a project.
