Abstract:
[eng] Éric Mulot — Economic analysis of educational policies in times of crisis in Cuba : The trying conservation of social benefits . The education system in Cuba has long since been presented as one of the most developed in Latin America and the Caribbean's, both in qualitative and quantitative terms. The economic crisis experienced by the country since 1989- 1991 has however rendered difficult its financing and thereby the maintenance of exceptional results. This article is devoted to showing how Cuban authorities have faced the shock from an economic standpoint. While the education system appears to pull through from such a difficult period, its capacity to contain disparities has nonetheless been considerably reduced.
