Abstract:
This study investigates the role of motion graphic public service announcements (PSAs) in enhancing public awareness and encouraging environmental cleanliness in Bogor, Indonesia. Employing a full-cycle approach, the study encompasses PSA design, animation production, and audience evaluation through a pilot survey of 25 respondents. The animated video, created with Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, illustrates the transformation of a polluted park into a clean, green community space through collective action. Results show 76–84% positive reception on clarity, appeal, and effectiveness of the message. Guided by the Elaboration Likelihood Model and Social Cognitive Theory, the findings demonstrate that motion graphics effectively influence attitudes and behaviors by combining visual storytelling with cultural resonance. The study highlights the potential of creative digital media in civic campaigns and recommends its broader adoption by local governments and NGOs to foster sustainable urban behavior.
