 Elektromobilitaet und Flexibilisierung: Industrielle Wandlungsprozesse am Beispiel der Automobilregion Ingolstadt (The electric car and work Flexibility: Industrial Transformation Processes Analysed through the Example of the Bavarian Automobile Region, Ingolstadt)Sandra Siebenhueter and Thomas Meyer Industrielle Beziehungen - Zeitschrift fuer Arbeit, Organisation und Management - The German Journal of Industrial Relations, 2011, vol. 18, issue 3, 190-204 Abstract: Elektromobilitaet und Flexibilisierung: Industrielle Wandlungsprozesse am Beispiel der Automobilregion Ingolstadt (The electric car and work Flexibility: Industrial Transformation Processes Analysed through the Example of the Bavarian Automobile Region, Ingolstadt) Die mit der Elektrifizierung des Automobils einhergehenden Veraenderungsprozesse haben mittlerweile alle Fahrzeughersteller erfasst und auch der Ingolstaedter Automobilhersteller Audi ist gezwungen in einen industriellen Wandlungsprozess einzusteigen, dessen Ausgang trotz vielfaeltiger Prognosen nicht absehbar ist. Wenngleich die Elektrifizierung des Antriebs das Kernstueck dieser automobilen Revolution darstellt, umschliesst das Thema ‘Elektromobilitaet’ zahlreiche arbeitsorganisatorische, infrastrukturelle, oekologische und politische Fragestellungen, die gegenwaertig noch weitestgehend unbeantwortet sind. Anhand der Volkswagentochter Audi soll exemplarisch aufgezeigt werden, wie eine gesamte Region, die seit Jahren direkt wie indirekt von der Strahlkraft des Automobilherstellers profitiert, von diesem Wandlungsprozess tangiert wird; zahlreiche Studien und Staedterankings bezeichnen Ingolstadt als die deutschlandweite ‘Boom-Region’ mit ‘Top-Zukunftschancen’ schlechthin. Vor diesem Hintergrund soll einerseits der Flexibilisierungsdruck durch den industriellen Wandlungsprozess ‘Elektromobilitaet’ auf die automobile Arbeitsorganisation bei Herstellern und Zulieferern naeher beleuchtet, andererseits die dadurch angestossenen arbeitsmarkt- und sozialpolitischen Implikationen auf eine Region nachgezeichnet werden. (The technical revolution of the electrically powered vehicle has already reached every car producer, yet the consequences of this development are unpredictable. Although the electrification of the engine has been a top priority, several questions remain concerning work organization, infrastructure, ecology and politics which up until now have not been answered properly. The predominance and the power of the local ‘ or even better: global ‘ car producer Audi is well recognized in the Ingolstadt region. This article tries to stress the implications of the electric car firstly on original equipment manufacturer’s work organization and secondly on their economic region.)
