Rome Climate Change Conference

Daniela Bartoli

QA - Rivista dell'Associazione Rossi-Doria, 2007, issue 3

Abstract: Climate change is not only a scientific phenomenon, but also represents a priority in global emergencies. Starting from the debate that took place in Rome during the Climate Change Conference, this paper analyses the results reached in the context of mitigation strategy, highlights gaps in the adaptation strategy and proposes some re-flections on the role of the developing countries’ in contrasting climate change. The analysis contemplates involvement of the highest possible number of countries in climate policies in order to give real effectiveness to the Kyoto protocol.
