Abstract: This paper presents a comparison between different techniques of noise removal such as NL-means algorithm, local smoothing filters, bilateral filtering, wavelet thresholding and median filtering, based on current researches. The main goals of this article are to recover the original image after applying a noise measurement, smoothing the images and preserves the edges.
