Abstract:
This paper describes an application that aims to monitor and stimulate physical activity adapted to elderly people. The application is implemented as a part of Mobile@Old platform. The specific exercises and the speed of the trainer is adapted to the user’s movements. Health parameters like fatigue, respiratory rate, heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (BPS) and diastolic blood pressure (BPD) are recovered from the Kinect parameters or transmitted via the mobile application. The evaluations we made concern both those who wore the Kinect sensor and those who use the mobile version.
