Abstract: Open Source Operating Systems for Servers, together with Website Projects are widely used by network administrators, web developers and web users. Free code access to Operating Systems core files and easy installation and configuration of Open Source Web Site Platforms is a handy but also a risky solution. The use of such platforms is under heavy discussion because the Open Source code is visible to all the potential hackers. This article focuses on the major Server and Open Source Web Platforms attacks and security flaws.
