Abstract: Through this paper, the authors are proposing to offer a global image of the current state of Romania’s energy sector, with emphasize on the energy production and the targets that are desired to be reached in this field, in the future. Other concepts will be taken into consideration, such as: the energy demand analysis on different branches, the structure analysis of the primary energy mix, the consumption, production and its composition in Romania in the year 2016, the energy production mix composition on a regular day in the year 2017.
