Abstract: E-learning has been enrolled as one of the main subjects in the agenda of the European and national institutions in the last years. This initiative tries to mobilize all the actors to hasten the changes from the education and training systems so that the European Union should advance towards a knowledge-based society. In this sense the present paper offers moment "photography" of manner in which the students valuate the e-learning system in two universities which belong to different cultures: Romania and France.
