The Japanese Concept of Sustainable Development at a Global Level

Abstract: After the end of the Second World War Japan was not only a defeated country but also a country that experienced the unimaginable shock of the atomic bombs. Despite all that, Japan succeeded to become the second economic power in the world and many people spoke about “The Japanese Miracle”. The miracle was even greater due to the fact that the country does not have many natural resources and therefore the Japanese development relied on Japanese human resources development.
