Abstract: The demographic situation in the EU Member States is changing and the age pyramid reverses. This indicates a low number of active people and a growing number of retired. The effect is the increase in pension expenditure. This growth pose serious problems to all Member States, as projections show growth and over 100% in the horizon of 2060 in terms of pension expenditure
