Abstract:
SWOT analysis is a method of investigating the countryside and the activities within this framework, based on methodological elements and forms of application and follow an objective assessment of the current situation. This method is summarized key points of the countryside, by grouping the problems and benefits based on the four elements of the SWOT - strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which allows easier identification of strategies and ways to develop and non-agricultural activities in rural areas. SWOT is one of the most commonly used methods to analyze the performance level of the economic unit of the development of an area, region or countries. SWOT analysis is also a way to analyze a production position in relation to its competitors. Its purpose is to identify major factors affecting competitiveness, developing a strategy for future. SWOT analysis presents a very simple methodology of application and can be adapted to various studies economic, social etc. Also, SWOT analysis can be applied to more complex problems existing in a farm with a production capacity of small or underdeveloped level, being able to identify concrete problems they face and their solutions. Effectively, the method is targeted objective assessment of the current activities and the level of rural development for the purpose of human activities, including tourism, responsible, sustainable and consistent with sustainable development.
