Abstract: The study examined the use of blockchain technology for the prevention of fraud in small and medium enterprises. Fraud in businesses is a significant problem that stifles the growth of businesses. The methodology used is a review of relevant and extant literature, after which a conclusion was made. The transparency, security, and traceability of blockchain enhance its credibility as the most valuable technology to stem fraud in a business organization. The study contributed to knowledge by evaluating how blockchain can be adopted to stem the tide of fraud in businesses in Nigeria.
