The influence of job stress and job boredom on employee performance mediated by cyberloafing behavior: Evidence in Indonesia

Abstract: This study aimed to examine and analyze the effect of job stress and job boredom on employee performance mediated by cyberloafing behavior in employees of the X Regency Labor Office in Indonesia. This study uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to 90 X Regency Labor Office employees. The sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling or census, with the same number of samples and populations. The final sample that met the criteria was 50 respondents. This study uses the SmartPLS version 3.0 analysis tool with the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis method. The results of this study explain that; (1) there is a positive and significant influence between job stress on cyberloafing behavior, (2) there is a positive and significant influence between job boredom on cyberloafing behavior, (3) there is a negative and significant influence between cyberloafing behavior on employee performance, (4) there is a significant influence between cyberloafing behavior mediating stress on employee performance, and (5) there is no significant influence between cyberloafing behavior mediating job boredom on employee performance.
