Abstract:
Globalization era is marked by the vast developmentof knowledge, technology and information, which is competitively incline. Consideringthe fact that the global competitiveness continously growstighter, theparadigm needs to change from resources-based competitiveness to knowledge-based competitiveness. Thestudy on knowledge management towards fisherySMEs (Small and Medium Entreprises)tends to applytacit knowledge directly among the persons rather than the explicit knowledge. The knowledge management is believed tobe inventeddue to the role of the social capital in the form of trust, norm, and network that proceedscontinuously among both the internal SMEsandexternal institutions.This researchwas conducted in Ambon as one of the ‘minapolitan area’ in Indonesia, andemployeddescriptiveresearchmethod and phenomenology approach based on the assumption of reality reconstruction.
