Revista de Estudios Regionales, 2003, vol. 01, 75-106

ABSTRACT Its know that the level of womens political participation is lesser than mens level of participation. However, social change induced by welfare policies have reduced this gender gap. Nevertheless this fact could introduce several differences among benefitied women of it (youngers, with higher education levels and working populations) and the non benefitied (eldery and housewife, with lesser study levels). This paper try to contrast this fact analysing the andalusian women population between 1988 and 1999 as a case study.
