Articulación territorial de la Península Ibérica mediante la red de transportes terrestres

Abstract: RESUMEN En el presente la red de infraestructuras de transporte es débil entre los dos países Ibéricos, a pesar de las mejoras introducidas durante los últimos años. Sería conveniente incrementar los enlaces de vías rápidas, autovías y autopistas. En cuanto al ferrocarril las relaciones son del todo insuficientes. Aquí, dentro de las mejoras a introducir, sería de gran utilidad apostar por los trenes de Gran Velocidad. Con todo ello se rompería una situación de aislamiento creada y mantenida durante siglos. Las áreas fronterizas podrían recuperar cierta actividad económica y social. El conjunto de los intercambios, de personas y mercancías, se incrementaría entre España y Portugal. Los dos países deben actuar en colaboración, ambos se benefician con ello. Además, las perspectivas de ampliación de la Unión Europea hacia el Este, les exige mejorar a su accesibilidad hacia las áreas centrales de la Unión. ABSTRACT The territorial framework of the Iberian Peninsula by means of the network of terrestrial transports. Presently the network of infrastructures of transport is weak among the two Iberian countries, in spite of the improvements introduced during the last years. It would be convenient to increase the connections of dual carriege ways and freeways. As for the railroad the relationships are completely insufficient. Here, inside the improvements to introduce, it would be of great utility to bet for the trains of Great Speed. With everything it, would break a created isolation maintained during centuries. The border areas could recover certain economic and social activity. The group of the exchanges, of people and goods, would be increased between Spain and Portugal. The two countries should act in collaboration, both they benefit with it. Also, the perspectives of entrance of new countries from the East in the European Union, it demands them better accessibility toward the central areas of the Union.
