Abstract: RESUMEN Este trabajo suministra una visión del papel jugado por la ciencia en el fomento del desarrollo tecnológico andaluz. La metodología utilizada se basa en las citas científicas de los documentos de patentes nacionales en Andalucía durante el periodo 1986-2003. Los resultados de este artículo suministran información relevante sobre la interconexión del sistema científico y tecnológico. ABSTRACT This paper provides deeper insight into the role played by science in driving the technological development of Andalucia. The methodology that has been applied is based on scientific citations in patent documents (1986-2003). The results in this article provide relevant information about the interconnection of scientific and technological systems.
