Estrategias petroleras y rivalidades en la región geopolítica del mar Caspio

Abstract: RESUMEN El trabajo analiza el auge de la región del Mar Caspio como fuente de recursos de petróleo, explica las ventajas y desventajas que presentan las diversas rutas para transportar este preciado producto al mercado global, y las rivalidades de los actores implicados. La primera parte presenta la región geopolítica del Mar Caspio, los recursos y la dificultad para determinar las reservas existentes, la segunda aborda el tema de las rutas/proyectos de nuevos oleoductos, dibujando las estrategias para el trasporte del crudo a las demás regiones. Finalmente, estudiamos las rivalidades de las grandes potencias y sus intereses en la zona. ABSTRACT The paper analyze the summit of the region of the Caspian Sea as source of resources of oil, makes clear the advantages and disadvantages that present the diverse routes for transport this valued product to the global market and the rivalries of the implied aspects. The first part presents the geopolitical region of the Caspian Sea, the resources and the difficulty to determine the existing reserves; the second one approaches the topic of the routes / projects of new pipelines, drawing the strategies for the transport of the crude oil to other regions. Finally, we study the rivalries of the big powers and your regional interests.
