Abstract:
This study focuses on the factors which have destructive impacts on climate in Pakistan. Carbon-Dioxide-Emission is taken as the proxy of the environmental degradation in Pakistan and taken as the dependent variable. Foreign Direct Investment, Population Density, consumption of gas and consumption of oil are taken as independent variable. Time Series Data from 1993 to 2021 is used and OLS technique is used to estimate the results. Our empirical evidence concludes that foreign direct investment, population density, oil consumption and gas consumption have significant effect on CO2 emission in Pakistan.
