Abstract: This objective of this research study is to review issues relating to corporate distress and firm management. The methodology adopted is a review of primary literatures from library resources and the research design is on inferences from the literatures reviewed. The study identified that corporate distress of business organizations is a continuous and repetitive event that should be examined theoretically and empirically with a view to stopping or reducing its occurrences. Managements of business enterprise face different internal and external factors that enhance these failures; therefore, a better understanding of the indicators will assist in curbing its occurrences. Furthermore, future empirical researchers are to be encouraged in this direction to avert financial failure and corporate collapse that are results from economic decisions, managerial decisions, business and social activities. Also, this will help in a quick recognition of the indicators of business distresses before it graduates to corporate crisis and ultimately business collapse.
