Abstract: This study examines the effects of internal control system (ICS) on organizational performance of selected entertainment firms in Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria. Specifically, the effects of five dimensions of ICS were assessed on market value performance. One hundred and sixty employees of two media and entertainment firms (Splash FM and Fresh FM) were sampled using a set of structured questionnaire. The respondents were selected through convenience sampling technique. Data obtained was analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple regressions. The descriptive analysis results showed that all the five ICS variables; control environment (4.36), risk management(3.71), control activities (4.12), information and communication (4.45) and monitoring (4.05), were present and functional in the firms.
