Abstract:
The study objective is to estimate the change in the number of micro-, small-, and medium-sized companies in response to the sanctions imposed on the region of their registration. The estimated dose-response functions indicate that greater exposure to sanctions leads to a greater change in the number of enterprises. Extractive and agricultural regions were less affected by the sanctions, while small and medium-sized companies in manufacturing and service sector regions experienced growth. The findings are essential for regional policymaking in supporting business growth.
