A Research on the Determination of Job Selection Criteria of the Senior Undergraduate Students

Abstract:
This study examines factors which are effective in the students’ choice of employment, that if these factors change in terms of the demographic characteristics of the students or not and the correlations among these questions factors. Based on the findings obtained; the most important criteria in the event of job search is “employment in a workplace with a good wage policy”. The other factors which are effective in the students’ choice of employment respectively are “employment offering career opportunities”, ”employment in a workplace with a good working environment”, employment in a workplace with a job security”, “employment in a workplace with flexible working hours”, “employment in a workplace with close relationships with foreign countries” and “employment in a workplace with up-to-date tools and equipments”. According to statistical analysis applied in this study, it is determined that the order of significance of the factors which are effective in the students’ choice of employment changes in terms of demographic characteristics of the students and there are correlations among these factors.
