Turkish Adaptation of the Green Shared Vision Scale: A Validity and Reliability Study

Abstract: The aim of this study is to adapt the “green shared vision” scale, originally developed by Jansen et al. (2008) and later contextualized within environmental sustainability by Chen et al. (2015), into Turkish and to test its validity and reliability. The scale was administered to a sample of 211 employees working in the sustainability and R&D departments of various private sector enterprises operating in the TR63 region (Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye) in Türkiye. The results of the exploratory factor analysis indicate that the four-item scale possesses a unidimensional structure, explaining 74.56% of the total variance. Subsequently, confirmatory factor analysis demonstrates that the overall model fit indices fell within acceptable limits, confirming the structural integrity of the scale. The findings provide evidence that the Turkish version of the scale is a valid and reliable measurement instrument and that the study contributes to the methodological advancement of research on environmental awareness and sustainability by offering a robust and culturally adapted tool, thereby addressing an existing gap in the literature.
