Abstract: Globalization has been said to harm the poor developing countries rather than help them. In this paper we use four indicators of globalization to study the effects of globalization on economic growth of developing countries. They are: change in airfreight transportation as percent of GDP, change in foreign direct investment as percent of domestic fixed investment, and change in total trade as percent of GDP, and change in income per capita, all measured for some selected globalization region such as the world or high income OECD countries. Dynamic regression results based on World Bank 1975-2004 data show that almost all developing countries benefit from globalization in one way or another. Further, it is shown that globalization does contribute to economic growth of almost all countries regardless whether they are rich or poor.
