Abstract:
numerous sectors the « normal » régime of functioning is overproduction, economic rationality moves from the domain of instrumental performance, towards those of finality and ethics. This holds true in particular for sustainable development where the question of intergenerational solidarity takes first place. Unfortunately, the rationality of neoliberal economics that restricts itself exclusively to the profitability of financial wealth, is contrary to this claim. Humanity is condemned to rediscover the meaning of values and of ethics, or to perish amidst the delirium of some instrumental efficacy devoid of finality.
