Abstract: Based on theoretical discussions, the paper proposes that the self-leadership of strategic leaders helps to take strategic decisions, and influences innovation performance of firms. Entrepreneurial orientation of firms encourages the leaders to take risky entrepreneurial decisions, and positively influences the relationship between self-leadership and innovation performance of firms. The paper also discusses research gaps and future research directions.
