La demanda turística internacional: recuperación de la crisis y turismo de lujo, una primera aproximación al caso español

Abstract: A través de este artículo se persigue abordar una primera aproximación a los factores determinantes de la demanda turística española para, a partir de ahí, analizar si ha existido una diferente respuesta entre los territorios durante la crisis en cuanto al sector turístico se refiere, atendiendo, sobre todo, a la categoría del establecimiento hotelero, en consecución de las teorías del carácter pro-cíclico del turismo y del carácter más resistente a los declives económicos del turismo de lujo. Los resultados obtenidos refutan las conclusiones alcanzadas en anteriores literaturas y abren nuevas vías de investigación. Through this article, a first approach to the determinants of Spanish tourism demand is pursued from there, in order to analyse whether there has been a different response between the territories during the crisis, as the tourism sector is concerned, attending especially to the category of the hotel establishment in achieving the pro-cyclical theories of tourism and the more resistant character to economic downturns of luxury tourism. The results refute the conclusions reached in previous literatures and open new ways of research.
