Abstract: I read with interest the comments of the two reviewers –Mohamed Ariff and Faiz Mohammad published in the Islamic Economic Studies Vol. 9, No.2, March, 2002 on my paper “The 1997-98 Financial Crisis in Malaysia: Causes, Response, and Results”. The comments are quite interesting, and add to our understanding of the complexity of the issues under discussion.
