Abstract: This study is focused on possibilities of use of information systems of social and economic monitoring (ІSSEM) in the regional development management. The paper presents eight (8) principal aspects of efficiency increasing of regional development management on the basis of ІSSEM and draws the attention of regional policy-makers and managers to the development purpose of governance.
