Abstract: The objective of this study is to establish the origins of the Europe Internal Market in Electrical Energy from the Treaty of Paris of 1951, where the principles that regulated the European Coal and Steel Community were established, to the Directive 2003/54/CE of June 26, 2003, about common norms for the Internal Market in Electricity, which regulates the country members of the European Union, and has provided benefits since the instauration of such market.
