Abstract:
Internationalization of the firm theory remains unfinished business and as a result there remains confusion among the academic community. This paper revises the main currents of thought in the academic world concerning the internationalization of the firm debate. We do a brief diagnosis of the international currents of thought and their impact on the unfinished debate of how to advance the theory of internationalization of the firm. Finally, we offer an agenda of academic work which deals with the particularities of the Mexican institutions and context.
