Abstract:
The paper presents the pilot plant researches performed by the Department of Hydro-technical Engineering, Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest, having the scope to optimize the treatment scheme of the Water Treatment Plant Palas Constanta in connection with the quality of water source. The experimental results revealed the need of coagulation – flocculation process for turbidity and organic maters removal. The ozone post-oxidation and GAC absorption are need for obtaining a low content of organic matters and for taste and odour removal.
